A: The complete package consists of a high definition thermal camera, blackbody (used to increase accuracy and manage ambient air temperature), NVR with built-in AI algorithms, power adaptor, 2 x tripods (if required), Express Base License software. Optional monitor/TV can be purchased if required.

A: Thermal cameras detect temperature by recognizing and capturing different levels of infrared light. This light is invisible to the naked eye, but can be felt as heat if the intensity is high enough. All objects emit some kind of infrared radiation, and it’s one of the ways that heat is transferred.

A: Installation and configuration will take approximately one hour. If you are local to InfoSignal, and your location is within reasonable distance to our head office in Edmonton, Alberta, we offer setup with purchase. However, the system is extremely easy to install and InfoSignal provides step by step instructional documentation and videos for support. We also provide remote tech support via video conference or phone and online troubleshooting to help customers set up the equipment without extra charge.

A: The TI-Rex system is portable and can be relocated to desired locations within your facility as needed. However, you may also install permanently at a specific location.

A: The TI-Rex system can work as stand-alone without internet service. However, internet service will be required for the system to conduct online troubleshooting, send out an alarm notification through email, and watch streams from the app.

A: The temperature threshold to trigger the alarm is set up at 38°C which is recommended by the Public Health Agency of Canada and The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Once the alarm is set off, the operator could be notified via flash light on the thermal camera, audio sound, pop up image of the person with high body temperature on monitor, and email notification.

A: The system is capable of an accuracy of +/- 0.3°C (±0.54° F) without constant manual calibration due to the change of ambient temperature.

A: Long-distance rapid screening at up to 4.50 m (15.0 ft), monitoring 3 people per second.

A: Yes. The thermal system can be integrated into your current surveillance system to provide a comprehensive monitoring solution.

A: Depending on your location, delivery is generally within 5-7 days of ordering.

A: The camera’s carry a 1 year manufacturer warranty and the NVR’s, a 3 year manufacturer warranty. Extended warranty can be purchased as well.

A: At the moment, we do not provide financing. However, we do offer leasing and lease-to-own options.

A: The Solution should not be solely or primarily used to diagnose or exclude a diagnosis of COVID-19 or any other disease. Elevated body temperature should be confirmed with secondary evaluation methods (e.g. an NCIT or clinical grade contact thermometer).
A: It is suggested that if outdoors, you put up a tent or build a closed environment to ensure the accuracy.

A: TI-Rex is recommended for use in, but not limited to, commercial Buildings, healthcare facilities, airports, transit stations, casinos, retail locations, and public gathering locations.
